How to Join

Paying by Direct Debit

We encourage members to pay their subscriptions by Direct Debit, which reduces our administrative costs when posting subscription renewal and reminders. Currently almost 90% of our members pay by this method. If you would like to pay in this way please complete the Instruction to your bank on the application form. We will write to you in your welcome pack, confirming when debits will be made to your bank account. All Direct Debits are collected on the last working day of the month in which a subscription is due. This is a very safe way to pay and is covered by the Direct Debit guarantee shown below. Please print and retain the Direct Debit guarantee for future reference.

The Direct Debit Guarantee

• This Guarantee is offered by all banks and building societies that accept instructions to pay Direct Debits.
• If there are any changes to the amount, date or frequency of your Direct Debit, Surrey Wildlife Trust will notify you 10 working days in advance of your account being debited or as otherwise agreed. If you request Surrey Wildlife Trust to collect a payment, confirmation of the amount and date will be given to you at the time of your request.
• If an error is made in the payment of your Direct Debit, by Surrey Wildlife Trust or your bank or building society, you are entitled to a full and immediate refund of the amount paid from your bank or building society.
– If you receive a refund you are not entitled to, you must pay it back when Surrey
Wildlife Trust asks you to.
• You can cancel a Direct Debit at any time by simply contacting your bank or building society. Written confirmation may be required. Please also notify us.
